Virtual rehearsals are going well. We usually have about 60 attendees from Kansas City and across the country. We are looking for ideas for engaging local attendees more. Music theory lessons will start soon. The Neighborhood Tourism Fund is not funding anything this year. Virtual performance funding has been discussed by the committee, we will see where that goes. Our other grants are due in September. All outside artistic fees are on hold to hopefully be transferred until season 19.
We have a volunteer to help edit together our virtual concert video who has experience.

Business Operations, Ian
Flipcause is up and running!! Stay tuned later in the meeting for a live demo of some things that have already been built out. The system is ready to go to implement season dues payment and we can set it up in a way that everything is integrated into one system instead of a combination of Google Forms and PayPal.
On-Boarding meeting for Flipcause will be on Friday, 04 SEP. The attendees will be limited to a few people. As more of us get access to the system, I’ll schedule some additional times for training of those that need access.

I tried out a scanning app, Genius Scan, and it works decently. Ready to scan anything else as needed.
Would love to get website functionality that allows a band member to log in and see only their relevant music parts for printing (additional level of control for music distribution). This would basically be a more dynamic version of the password protected pdfs that Lee set up for Deus Ex Machina. I’ve seen this done before, but I don’t have the requisite skills. Any thoughts/help on this?
Lee would like to keep music password protected as a safety measure. There will be a different folder and password per part so only those with access can view the music for that part. Erin, Lee and Jeanine will work on a solution

Fundraising, Rameka
I have assembled a Q4 fundraising calendar - working on a potential (per documentation approval) Chipotle fundraiser for Oct. 13th.
Website donation page edits - I am working on updating verbiage and assembling info for Erin to update with monthly giving, alternative giving options, etc.
Want to further discuss Giving Tuesday/12 Days of Xmas leading to our concert.
Has created a tentative schedule for Q4 fundraising. Will use flipcause as possible to work on campaigns. Lee has a text-to-donate program that we may be able to use for free.
Marketing, Grace

Would like to make our social media more personal, starting with member spotlights sharing who they are, why they joined the band, why they love the band, ect. Christian has volunteered to kick us off. It will include a video version.
Would like to include information about registering to vote and requesting mail in ballots.
Incorporate quantifiable results for the OKRs that were set in July. We will have a break out meeting after the October board meeting to discuss this.
Membership, Alex
Birthday cards have been ordered and Mike Ritzel has them, ready to fill and send out. We are adding DOB to membership agreement among other things to make sure we’re getting info we need for grants and such. I’ll send that out after the meeting tonight
Would like to find a way to have the board sign the birthday cards before sending them out. The membership handbook is being revised, especially with the sexual harassment policy.
The goal is to have everyone who is playing with us fill out the membership agreement, even if they are not paying dues and/or are not in the Kansas City area.
