Reports
Artistic Director, Lee
Pleased with rehearsals and really thrilled with how the videos and virtual concert turned out. Got some tips from some other ADs about getting more people to submit videos, i.e. offering of ourselves to record them, possibly at the church if they so choose. Feedback from the virtual concert?
Our participation numbers are in line with other bands who are rehearsing virtually. Christian can do recordings in the church for those who are not comfortable doing their own recordings for concerts.
Overall the concert went very well and was received well by viewers.
Assistant Artistic Director, Jessie
Sorry for my absence, I am doing an Official Visit for SAI. Be on the lookout this weekend for the premier video in the brand new LGBA speaker series! I will probably share it in the members forum :)

Committee Reports
Fundraising, Rameka
Chipotle Fundraiser was cancelled due to staffing issues at the Waldo location. They did not have any other available dates until Jan! I have submitted to reschedule for Tuesday, December 8 at the Prairie Village restaurant (6920 Mission Rd Ste C Prairie Village, KS 66208). I am waiting for confirmation and will update the FB event.
I have info going up this week regarding the 24hrs of gratitude and will push that on the FB forum and ask an email blast to be sent out to members as well.
I need to work on Flipcause Giving Tuesday and other CTA for 24hrs and 12 days of Xmas.

Would like to discuss the “Sax-ie Saxophones” valentines music grams and see if it is feasible. Grace will form a committee to figure out the logistics. Those who are interested in the committee will contact Grace.
Membership, Alex
No report submitted.
The group is interested in hosting an among us tournament. The membership committee is doing a test run, and hosting the tournament on the 10th of December. The committee would like to look into the interest from the community in forming a youth band for those under 18. We would have to either create separate bylaws or adjust ours. Lee suggests doing it through the city via Parks and Rec as they have reached out to us in the past. Nothing will be finalized until the world is back to ‘normal.’ This may also open us up to more city grants.
A band in Florida does a version that is a week long summer camp with a week of rehearsals and a performance at the end.
Old Business
Yearly Goal Meeting
Optional yearly board meeting discussing the group’s yearly goals will take place on December 8th at 7 pm.
New Business
The Concert
The big concert will be on the 12th at the end of the mini song lead up. The concert will be the chamber piece with the shorter pieces together.
Christian would like to have a demographics survey in the lobby before the concert begins. Could do featured videos of sponsors or local organizations. Lee will look for a local non-profit.
Election Committee
The election committee needs to start meeting. Nominations need to begin. Alex volunteers to chair the committee, Christian will also be on the committee. The committee also needs a staff member and general member. Erin, Nathan and Emily’s seats are up for election.
Alex moves to suspend the bylaws for the 2021 election. Ruth seconds. Motion passes.
The membership will be notified that 3 positions are open. They will be given until November 25 to nominate new board members. The annual meeting will be January 14th, membership will be notified by December 31 at the latest. All will be done electronically. Ian will see if there is a way to do this through Flipcause.
Ruth also suggests an inauguration watch part on Jan 20th.
