Reports
Artistic Director, Lee
I’m behind on everything but MAC final report is getting done so is the video. Still need to get Camelot to the post office but Chatfield is closed so I’ve written to them to ask how to proceed. I think the virtual hangout was a great success, very cathartic: would love some feedback on that. I am going to look into our salesforce account which we have, to help bolster our operations/mailing list as it hasn’t been updated in ages. Votes are in for MOYT and NMOTY I hope we can do next season...
The board agrees that the virtual hangout would be a good regular occurrence. (Jackbox party games, heads-up, ect.)
Assistant Artistic Director, Jessie
Hopeful that Mighty Mo can have some kind of a season upcoming. Have started planning programming with a goal of 3 concerts a season, thinking November, April and June to avoid conflicts with concert band dress rehearsals and concerts. This would also allow for a July Fringe festival performance should we have the opportunity next summer. Would also like to start pulling together a dance band book with some of our standards we can use for fundraisers, gigs, etc. without having to take away from our concert repertoire. I will be reaching out to Nathan with one last music order before this FY ends to help build our library and add more variety to our charts on hand. Mighty Mo has only used half of its music budget for the current fiscal year.
Would it be possible to add another audience in our current Mailchimp account for Mighty Mo member emails? I can handle setting this up and sending the emails, but wanted to get permission to use the account. Thanks!
Jessie will be working on an email for the Jazz band. Lee will write a press release for Jessie.
If the band can’t perform this year, Lee suggests a chamber ensemble style.
Board Chair, Christian
I would like to get together and redo contracts with our Artistic and Assistant Artistic Directors.

Chrisian will gather contracts for artistic and assistant artistic directors by the end of the month. It will be run through Ian, legal, and the board before approval.

I ordered a couple stickers from our online store and they are terrible so I removed them from the store and contacted Printful to let them know. They printed fine but weren’t sticky at all. If they get back to me and fix them I’ll add them back but for now I don’t want us to sell something that would literally just fall off the thing you stuck it on.

Fundraising, Rameka
BINGO! It’s happening! Eventbrite link will go out tonight. Please share and encourage others to share as well!
Thank you to Leia Barrett for her generosity - KC Community Arts will match all donations up to $250! We can make $500 on this event, I know it!!
May 8 at 8 pm, virtual. We have great prizes for participants. Chrisitan will help with OBS setup for the event. The event will be through Zoom. Rameka and Lee will work out details later and do a test on Thursday.

Still working on the group performance and photo.
Membership, Alex
Pronoun pins have been delivered. Last membership committee meeting, a potential attendance policy was brought up because of multiple committee members noticing significant repeated absences. We are also going to work on a video version of our Weekly Member Spotlight. Retention is another thing we are focusing on.
We have done 2/3 attendance policy in the past. Lee would prefer to not have a hard and fast rule, members tend to self police. We could do a reward for those who attend 100% of rehearsals.
“Being present for less than 2/3 of rehearsals in any concert cycle shall require consultation with the Artistic Director to ensure individual progress is on par with the greater ensemble.”
If the band is 100% unable to meet in the new season it will be up to the current membership to determine who is still a member and what that requires.

EIDL
Do we apply for EIDL? Up to 2 million (NOPE) but the first $10,000 doesn’t need to be paid back. We have documentable losses that are a direct result of the virus.
Or losses include ticket sales, grants, music, ect. Lee has all of the paperwork already so it could be submitted as soon as the next round of funding opens. We have a clear loss on the season so we easily qualify. We do not OWE money, but we have lost income. All losses must be directly related to COVID-19.
“When in doubt, apply”
We could consider changing banks after we apply for this fund. We can shop around for the best bank options.
Masks
Logoed masks aren’t high quality, but we could find a way to partner with a local organization to make some. We could also link to the Human Rights Campaign masks as well.
Can we go into the church? Yes, respectfully.
