For All, We Rise brings together music that maps out a journey of renewal and purpose. Schoenberg’s two movements of Rise frame the program with themes of beginnings and letting go. In between, works like Grace Baugher's Phoenix Rekindled, JaRod Hall's Knockout, and Bjork's Overture from Dancer in the Dark explore how we regain strength, build momentum, and push ahead. Bernstein’s Fanfare for the Inauguration of JFK and Make Our Garden Grow echo the spirit of new beginnings and the work of shaping what comes next. Maslanka’s Illumination then lights our way forward. All together, Mid America Freedom Band's spring concert will implore to audiences:  we rise highest when we rise together.
