Duties for May Concert - Erin will take Box Office and be point-of-contact for FOH. Gavin, Charlie’s husband, will be asked. Christian will ask the LGBTQ work group to volunteer. Ask Cayle Downs. Reminder that we’ll owe 10% to Folly for merch if we sell.
Budget - Next month KCVALA for potential audit because of budget size.

We’re sounding great. Kudos to the Mighty Mo Jazz Orchestra! Lots of stuff coming up including AIDS Walk on May 6, our 20th Anniversary concert on May 19, Pride stuff including the Parade, Booth, and Pride Night at the Royals. We received $5,000 for next season from NTDF. We need to get butts in seats now for the May 19 concert. Season 21 is almost programmed! We just need our fall date. Adam Yarbrough has offered his garden for ticketed garden party fundraiser targeting Fall 2023.

Congrats to the MMJO members on a FANTASTIC SHOW! Wow! Thanks for all of the extra hands we had on deck, you all made for smooth sailing. Looking forward to starting the Mighty Mo Swing Band! This is our “open to all” group, so please help encourage participants that may be interested. The Jazz Orchestra will be off while the Swing Band rehearses off and on through the summer.

The Royals contacted us about playing the Anthem and we have officially committed as of this morning. We have asked about inviting Choral Spectrum and/or the KC Women’s Chorus to join us. (Heartland Men’s Chorus has a dress rehearsal that night). Committee ask has been well received and people are volunteering.

Reached out to Gem Theater for fall concert. 59 tickets sold for spring concert [let’s get 10X that]. Talked to St. Andrew’s regarding outdoor pops concert at HJ’s. Requesting another FOB for entrance. Lee requested reports from flipcause for emails to do e-blasts.

Two members approached me to express interest in the Assistant Librarian position - Tyler (tyler.g.huntington@gmail.com) and Bea (Bea.k.reiter@gmail.com). They both have prior experience and I feel that either would be suitable, if they have bandwidth to commit. I’m not sure how best to proceed from here in terms of deciding between the two of them. Is there any information we should gather from them as a sort of informal interview?
